This resource is an excellent way to gauge how learners are feeling about their progress and development in their subjects. We run them each half term and allow the findings to lead into 1 to 1 discussion between teacher and students. Hopefully you will feel confident and honest enough to share the findings with another colleague – it is simply another way to open conversation, which cannot be a bad thing. Just don’t forget to change the date each time you use them!

Another great resource to allow you to develop your AfL practice – create surveys, pop quizzes or a discussion forum for your class and get responses in real time that you can collate and use to plan future learning – can be created using a nuber of different devices for easy use.

Assessment for Learning in the 21st Century

AFL strategies have the most profound impact when they are deployed intrinsically in lessons rather than as additions or ‘tag-ons’.  Such practice can be achieved via intellectual debate with colleagues concerning the impact on learning that potential methodologies will have. This resource, which was used by Mr Watson in the key-note speech on the January training day, has been designed to help in this area.
